Polycarbonate MOQ, Lead Time & Shipping

Plan your PC sheet order: starting quantity, production windows and FOB, CIF or DDP choices. Get terms for your exact specification.

Need polycarbonate sheets or finished PC parts for a trial order or repeat supply? Start with the dimensions, grade, quantity and destination you have. We will check the applicable minimum, production window and delivery term for that specification in a written quote.

Planning guide: published starting quantity is 100 m² or 1 tonne. Standard-size, standard-colour PC sheet production averages 7–10 days; more complex specifications take longer. These are reference figures. The selected product, order mix, approvals and production load determine the actual minimum and schedule stated in your quote.

Can my PC order meet the starting minimum?

At 1220 × 2440 mm, one uncut sheet covers about 2.98 m². A 100 m² order is therefore about 34 full sheets before cutting waste. Using a typical solid-PC density of about 1.2 g/cm³, 100 m² weighs approximately 360 kg at 3 mm or 600 kg at 5 mm, excluding film and packaging. The 1-tonne threshold corresponds to a different area at each thickness. This converts the starting quantity into a useful estimate, but the applicable minimum may be set by area, weight or the individual production run. Tell us if you need several thicknesses, colours or sheet types in one shipment; we will check how the minimum applies to each item and whether they can ship together.

Your order What to send What the quote will resolve
Standard PC sheet Grade, thickness, colour, sheet size and total area Applicable MOQ, production window and packing
Custom sheet Target thickness/width, colour or surface, quantity and application Production setup, MOQ for this specification and approval steps
Cut or CNC-finished parts Drawing, material choice if known, part count and tolerances that matter Sheet requirement, cutting yield and added processing time

If you are still choosing a grade or dimensions, describe the use and target quantity. Our team can help define a quotable PC specification rather than asking you to solve every detail first.

How long does PC production take?

Use these averages to plan your purchase order. They refer to production, not freight transit or a guaranteed arrival date.

Specification Average production reference What may change it
Standard sizes and standard colours 7–10 days Grade, quantity and current line schedule
Non-standard thickness or width 12–18 days Setup and specification approval
Custom colour matching 15–20 days Colour approval and production complexity
CNC cut-to-size or formed parts Add 3–7 days to the sheet window Drawing approval, part count and processing steps

All custom PC specifications can be requested. We confirm the actual production schedule after reviewing the order details; changes to approved drawings or specifications can change it. Ask the sales team to state the production start point and expected dispatch date in the written quotation.

Which delivery term fits your order?

Choose the level of freight control you want, then compare quotations on the same destination and scope. FOB, CIF and DDP may be quoted where available for the destination and order. A lower sheet price can produce a higher delivered cost once freight, local charges and duties are considered.

Term Usually useful when Check in the quote
FOB You have a forwarder or want to consolidate purchases. Named port, handover point and what your forwarder will arrange.
CIF You want us to arrange sea freight and insurance to a named destination port. Port, insurance scope, destination charges and inland delivery.
DDP You want a destination-inclusive option and it is available for your address. Exact delivery address, included duties/taxes and any exclusions.

For a first order, ask for the delivery option that fits your receiving process; DDP is convenient when available, but FOB or CIF may be better if you already manage imports. Freight mode, route and transit are confirmed against the shipment rather than fixed by a page estimate. Your broker or logistics team should confirm import classification and destination obligations before you compare landed costs.

From enquiry to dispatch

  1. Send your PC requirement. A drawing is useful for fabricated parts; a use case is enough to start when the material choice is open.
  2. Review the written quote. Check the applicable MOQ, specification, production window, delivery term and packing.
  3. Approve the order details. Confirm any colour sample, drawing or material requirement before production.
  4. Receive shipment details. The agreed order documents and dispatch information follow the final delivery term.

We operate seven extrusion lines with 20,000 tonnes of annual capacity and 22 CNC machines. Those capabilities support sheet production and further processing; the schedule for your particular PC order is confirmed in the quote. Common product test report originals are available from the sales team on request for the relevant material and specification.

Send enough detail for a useful quotation

  • PC product type and application, or “please advise” if the grade is undecided.
  • Thickness, dimensions, colour/surface and any drawing or tolerance requirement.
  • Quantity for each specification, including a target trial and repeat volume if relevant.
  • Destination port or delivery address and preferred FOB, CIF or DDP term if known.
  • Required delivery date and any test report or document you need to review.

Common buyer questions

Is 100 m² or 1 tonne the minimum for every PC specification?

It is the published starting guide. The minimum for your grade, size, colour, processing and order mix is confirmed in the written quotation. Ask us to check a trial quantity even if your requirement is still approximate.

Can I combine different PC specifications in one shipment?

Tell us each item and its quantity. We will check the production minimum for each specification and whether the finished items can be shipped together.

When does the production lead time begin?

The written quote states the start point after the required order details and approvals are agreed. A revised drawing, colour or specification can change the schedule.

Can you quote delivered cost?

FOB, CIF and DDP can be evaluated as applicable to your order and destination. Send the destination and address so the quotation can identify what is included and excluded.

Can I review PC test reports before buying?

Yes. Ask the sales team for the relevant common test report originals. Tell us the grade, thickness and test or document your project requires so we can identify the applicable report.
