What to send with your drawing

Geometry: DXF or DWG for a 2D profile; STEP or IGES for a 3D part; a marked PDF is useful for critical dimensions and notes.
Material and appearance: PC grade or required function, thickness, colour, finish, optical side and any coating.
Fit and inspection: mating components, tolerance priorities, hole locations, edge finish and acceptance method.
Commercial details: quantity per release, repeat volume, destination, packing needs and any sample or report request.

We review missing or conflicting dimensions before confirming a production route. A first article is particularly useful for complex geometry, optical surfaces and mating features. If you only have a sketch, send it with the intended use and target quantity; we will identify what else is needed for a reliable quote.

How we quote a custom PC part

Material usage, cutting or forming time, tooling, inspection and packing can change the total cost. Compare offers on delivered finished parts, with the same drawing and acceptance criteria. Custom PC specifications can be supplied, but price and production time depend on the chosen process and complexity. Figures elsewhere on this site are average planning references; the written quotation confirms the terms for your order.

Common PC test report originals are available from sales when required for the selected grade or project. Tell us the standard or property your customer needs checked so the report request is matched to the offer.

Questions before you order

Do I need to specify the machining process?

No. Send the finished geometry, PC requirements, quantity and critical fit or appearance criteria. We will propose the process route and note any drawing details that need agreement before quotation.

Can you combine sheet supply with machining or forming?

Yes. Send the sheet requirements and finished part drawing in one enquiry. We review the material, fabrication sequence, inspection and packing together, then confirm the order-specific price and production window.

What if the part has a critical mating fit?

Identify the mating component, inspection datums and critical dimensions. We will confirm feasible tolerances after material and process review; a first article can be agreed before a repeat batch.
