What exactly needs a rating?
UL Solutions describes UL 752 as a standard for bullet-resisting materials, devices, assemblies and fixtures. Test conditions include designated protection levels and shot patterns, with attention to penetration and fragments or spalling behind the barrier. - Match the evidence to the drawing. Compare the report’s specimen and limits with the actual glazing, frame, bite, fastening and openings. Ask specifically whether drilling, cutting or larger dimensions are covered.

Will thicker polycarbonate automatically stop a specified round?
No. Thickness alone does not assign a ballistic classification. Layer sequence, test conditions, size, edge retention and frame can change the result; use a tested construction for the specified threat.
Can a supplier’s PC impact test replace a ballistic report?
No. Material impact data describe that grade under its stated test method. A ballistic submittal needs the applicable threat level and report scope for the named barrier construction.
