Polycarbonate Test Reports and Supplier Documents

Request PC product test-report originals privately and match each document to the quoted grade, thickness and standard.

Need a PC test report for supplier approval? SinoPlastix holds common product test-report originals and provides relevant reports privately through sales. Tell us the sheet type, grade, thickness and standard required; we will identify the document that fits your proposed purchase.

Request a report with your PC quote Ask the sales team a document question

Sheet extrusion equipment at the Jiangsu factory associated with SinoPlastix production
Our Jiangsu sheet-production setting. For procurement approval, ask sales to match the privately supplied report original to the exact PC grade and thickness in your quotation.

The practical answer: start with your required performance and end use, then ask for a report whose product identification, specimen thickness, test method and result match the quoted sheet. A resin datasheet, a factory certificate and a finished-sheet report answer different questions.

What to send us

You do not need to compile a certificate dossier before starting a quote. A short buying brief is enough:

  • Product: solid, multiwall or another PC construction; include thickness, colour and any coating or UV-protected face.
  • Use: where the sheet will be installed and which performance requirement matters.
  • Document: the named test method or customer specification, if your buyer has one.
  • Order: size, quantity, fabrication drawing if applicable, and delivery destination.

We can then quote the material and identify a relevant existing report original. If the proposed grade or thickness falls outside that report’s scope, we will state the gap and discuss a matching grade or project-specific test route in the written offer.

Which document do you need?

Buyer request What to check What to ask for
PC product test report Material/grade, thickness, test method, result and issuing laboratory The original report applicable to the quoted sheet
Resin-maker data Resin grade and manufacturer; whether the data describes raw resin or finished sheet Use it as a material reference, alongside sheet-specific evidence when required
Management-system certificate Legal entity, site, standard, scope and validity Ask sales to confirm current status for your supplier-approval process

A report for one material or thickness does not automatically establish a result for another. Tell us the acceptance criterion rather than assuming a generic “PC certificate” covers the finished part.

Match the document to your purchasing decision

Buying situation Ask sales for Check before approval
Clear guarding or viewing panel The offered grade’s optical data and, where required, an applicable impact report. Sheet thickness, specimen, method and the acceptance target for the installed guard. A material result alone does not rate a mounted assembly.
Outdoor glazing or rooflight The UV-protected grade’s weathering and optical evidence available for the proposed sheet. Which face is protected, exposure method, duration and the measured property. The roof design and local approval remain project-specific.
Flame-sensitive enclosure or component A report for the proposed flame-retardant grade under the named method and thickness. Specimen thickness, classification and whether the test applies to a material coupon, a component or the complete assembly.
Cut, coated or formed part The base-sheet document plus any coating or finished-part evidence your specification requires. Whether processing changes the property being approved; identify drawing revision and inspection criteria in the purchase order.

For example, ASTM D1003 addresses haze and luminous transmittance of transparent plastics, while the ISO 4892 series covers laboratory light-source exposure. UL explains the scope and limits of UL 94 flame classifications. These are examples of methods a buyer may specify, not a statement that every SinoPlastix grade has a result under each one. Name the exact method, edition and required level in your request.

Examples of useful test questions

Customers may ask about impact, light transmission, flame behaviour, weathering or dimensional properties. The relevant method and result depend on the application and grade. If your buyer has a specified method such as ASTM, ISO or UL, include its exact designation and acceptance level in the enquiry. We will check what existing evidence applies; this page does not claim every PC grade has passed every test.

A report request you can copy

“Please quote clear UV-protected solid PC sheet, 6 mm, 1220 × 2440 mm, 200 sheets, for an outdoor framed panel in [destination]. Please identify the offered grade and UV face, and send privately any current report originals applicable to that grade and thickness for our specified optical and weathering requirements. Confirm which results cover sheet material and which approvals would require our assembled panel to be tested.”

This is an example brief, not a stock specification or a promise that a report covers that example. Replace the dimensions, quantity, method and acceptance threshold with your project requirements. You can begin without a standard number; our sales team can help identify the document type needed for review.

How documents move through an order

  1. Share the specification and the approval requirement.
  2. We identify the proposed PC grade and the applicable report or document status.
  3. Approve a physical sample when appearance, colour, finish or fit matters.
  4. The written quote confirms the selected material, production scope, price basis and indicative production window; final details follow the actual order.

Common report originals are available on request and are not displayed publicly on this website. Ask for the applicable original through sales and compare its identified material, tested thickness, method, issuing body and date with the written quotation. For supplier approval, have sales confirm the factory address, legal seller and document owner in writing for the specific order.
