Install PC roof panels from the chosen panel-and-profile instructions, with the protected face out and the water path kept open. Before drilling, sign off the roof pitch, supports, sheet direction, edge capture, movement allowance, closures and flashings. A reversed UV face or sheet held too tightly can force rework after the roof is closed.

For Plaskolite’s POLYGAL multiwall installation guide, the published roof recommendation is 1 inch rise per 12 inches run; it directs the flutes down the slope and the UV-protected side toward the sun. Its worked 4 × 8 ft sheet example across a 110°F temperature difference calculates about 0.198 in width and 0.396 in length of movement. Those dimensions are an example for that guide’s sheet and conditions, not hole diameters or allowances for every PC panel.
The LEXAN THERMOCLEAR guide gives a separate named example: at least 20 mm edge engagement in its glazing frame, while allowing thermal movement, and approximately 3 mm expansion per metre for a 50°C difference. Its sloped-glazing guidance recommends 5° for drainage. Do not combine these two suppliers’ details into an untested hybrid system. Get the current guide for the actual sheet, profile and fastener package.

Where the offered sheet has a designated UV-protected face, install that identified face outward. Keep its marking until orientation is checked; follow the exact grade’s current instructions.
