Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet

Corrugated polycarbonate sheet for a daylighting strip that must match the roof profile. Start with the rib pitch, height, effective cover width and side-lap edge of the neighbouring metal sheet. We can quote a formed PC profile, colour and cut lengths against the roof drawing or a measured sample.

Send the existing steel-sheet designation plus its actual section, panel schedule, quantity and destination. We will propose a profile and product sample for comparison; the roof designer confirms the installed support and fixing design.

Corrugated PC: starting specifications

1

Sheet thickness

The supplied corrugated range lists 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5 and 2.0 mm as common product options. The offered profile, grade and roof design determine the selected thickness.

2

Profile family

Round/sine wave, Greca and trapezoidal shapes are starting options. A profile name is not enough to confirm side-lap compatibility; compare a measured section.

3

Light and surface

Clear, opal and tinted PC create different daylight and glare effects. State the UV-exposed face and request optical data for the grade and thickness in your quote.

All figures below are product-line examples for enquiry, not guaranteed stock, spanning, weatherproofing or universal optical ratings. The written offer controls custom dimensions, grade, price and lead time.

Profile dimensions you can compare with your roof

These round-wave profiles illustrate the numbers to request. They are not interchangeable simply because their cover widths look close. Check the full cross-section, side lap and fixing detail against the roof you are matching.

762 round wave

762 mm effective cover, 810 mm total width, 76.2 mm wave pitch and 15 mm wave height. Source developed width: 890 mm.

930 round wave

930 mm effective cover, 80 mm wave pitch and 16 mm wave height. Source developed width: 1,015 mm; total width was not specified.

1064 round wave

1,064 mm effective cover, 1,140 mm total width, 76 mm wave pitch and 18 mm wave height. Source developed width: 1,300 mm.

Effective cover width is the installed coverage basis after the planned side lap. Ask for the actual profile drawing before comparing price per panel, per running metre or per square metre of roof.

Match the profile, then check the assembly

  1. Compare sections: send the metal roof designation, section drawing or physical sample, rib shape, pitch, height and side-lap edge.
  2. State the roof: slope, purlin positions, location, design loads, flashings and fixing concept.
  3. Confirm the panel: PC grade, thickness, colour, UV face, cut lengths and quantity.
  4. Approve the order: check the proposed drawing, sample, applicable report original, packing, pricing unit and written delivery window.

A photograph can help identify a candidate profile; it cannot establish fit at the overlap. Have the project designer review load, deflection, movement, drainage, fasteners and safe roof access for the complete system.

Price the same roof coverage

Two suppliers can quote the same nominal length but a different installed cover area. Request the offered effective width, cut length, lap assumption and unit of price on each quotation. Keep the sheet line separate from flashings, supports, installation and freight so the comparison is meaningful.

Our associated Jiangsu production site has seven extrusion lines and annual sheet capacity of 20,000 tonnes. Common original test reports can be requested privately through sales for the selected grade and thickness. Custom profile, colour, cutting and packing complexity affect actual price and lead time; published site-wide numbers are average planning references.

For system design, see roofing applications and installation guidance. For a hollow insulating roof section compare multiwall PC; for flat panels compare solid PC.

Frequently asked questions

Which corrugated PC profile matches my metal roof?
Send the metal sheet designation, actual cross-section, effective cover width, rib pitch and height, side-lap shape and a drawing or sample. Sales can propose a matching PC profile for the designer to check at the junction.

What thickness and span should I use?
The project designer chooses thickness and support spacing from the offered grade and profile data, site loads, acceptable deflection and complete fixing arrangement. Send those inputs; a generic thickness-to-span answer is not design approval.

Is this sheet supplied in rolls or panels?
State the required format, cut lengths, handling limit and destination. The written quotation confirms the available format, packing and shipment length for the proposed custom PC specification; no default roll length is assumed.

Can you match a colour or a non-listed profile?
SinoPlastix supplies custom PC specifications. Send a colour reference and the profile cross-section or sample. Sales confirms the proposed grade, sample approval method, tooling if applicable and written order terms.

Which face should point outdoors?
Follow the markings and installation instructions for the exact UV-protected grade quoted. Ask for its applicable weathering report and confirm the exposed face before panels are installed.

What is the minimum order?
Published site-wide starting quantities are planning references. Provide the profile, grade, dimensions, quantity and delivery destination; the written quotation confirms the applicable minimum, price and production window. See MOQ, lead time and shipping.
